What this site remembers about you
Almost nothing about you is kept on ipe.rest. What is kept is listed below, with where it lives and how to get rid of it.
A privacy policy is the long version of this page. Here is the short one, in the order a curious reader tends to ask.
What stays on your device
When you choose a language, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under the name ipe_lang. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. The site also keeps a cache of its own files, so pages open quickly and still work offline.
Clearing the site’s data in your browser settings removes both, and the site simply asks you again the next time.
What we count
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read. It records page views, the page you came from, your browser and device type, an approximate location, and clicks on links that leave the site. It sets cookies, such as _ga, which can last up to two years, to tell one visit from another. We do not ask for your name or email in analytics, and we cannot tell who you are from it.
The home page also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow individual visitors from site to site. It measures page views and how fast pages load, in aggregate.
What passes through
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and like any host it receives technical request data such as your IP address. Some links the studio shares go through a short redirect page before opening YouTube. Those pages record which track code was opened and a rough source, app, social or other, and they contain no personal text.
What we do not have
There are no accounts here, no sign-up, no ads, and nothing we sell. An email address reaches us only if you write to us, and then we use it to reply and for nothing else. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Why we spell it out
A small studio cannot hide behind a team of lawyers, and it should not want to. It is easier to trust a place that tells you plainly what it counts. If you would rather not be counted, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.
