late_night.lofi — the ride home.
late_night.lofi is the ipe() series for the ride home after a late night: slow lo-fi for the hour when the work is finally over and you are not home yet.
Its first single is “still compiling” (N-001), made for the night you couldn’t leave before the build finished. The title is a small developer’s joke with a tired heart inside it: the screen is still busy, and you are already on your way out.
We think of that ride as its own place. The desk is behind you and the day is not quite over. Nobody needs an answer from you, and there is nothing left to fix tonight. The series tries to keep that stretch of quiet company — no advice, no cheering up, just something to listen to until you reach the door.
“still compiling” is out in an English version and a Korean version, both on YouTube. As with everything at ipe(), the lyrics and concept start from an AI draft that a person revises and reviews, and the music is made with AI (Suno) — we say so openly.
